The Australian Unemployment Rate is expected to go up on Wednesday. Forecasts show that a figure of 5.8% is expected. That matches the highs of 5.8% that Australia saw during the global financial crisis, only a few years ago. Investors and economists will be watching for the figure Wednesday night at 9:30PM EST (New York Time).
In July, jobs contracted, contradicting expectations, 10,200.
Also in July, in spite of expectations of an unemployment rate rise to 5.8%, the rate stayed at 5.7%.
