The Bank of Japan is having their first press conference under the leadership of Governor Haruhiko Kuroda.
Many are convinced that the new BOJ governor has the power to greatly influence the world by leading Japan’s central bank. Japan is the world’s third largest country, but for the last two decades it has not grown much. Some think that Governor Kuroda can turn Japan around if he gets serious about hitting the inflation target of 2%.
Japan’s “best shot at reviving the economy”
“This is their best shot at reviving the economy,” said Jerry Webman, the chief economist at OppenheimerFunds. (Reuters)
When change comes there is usually hope for a turn around. Will Kuroda be effective? We have to will wait and see.
In the meantime we can assume that positive Yen news at the press conference could be explosive to the Yen.
Will the Yen’s Weakness in the Forex Market turn around at all because of their new BOJ Governor?
